Kodiak von Koldenz is a very handsome 4-5 year old white German Shepherd.  In case you couldn’t tell, Kodiak currently holds the title of “best smile” at the rescue.   Kodiak’s photos show his true nature and charming personality.  Like many Shepherds, Kodiak can be a bit shy when you first meet -- but the key to Kodiak’s heart is some kind attention and maybe a fun outing.  He’s not a high energy boy but, when you are out on a walk, he sticks close to soak up attention and lights up when you say his name.  And once he makes a friend, he hopes that special somebody picks up a ball or toy and gives it a toss.  Kodiak knows how to play fetch and is quite attentive, especially when you have a ball in your hand.  With his sunny personality and medium energy level, if pushy and jumpy dogs rub Kodiak the wrong way, he’s not above standing up for himself.  Still, he walks well alongside other dogs and appreciates being around a group of well-behaved friends. Nevertheless, no matter how much fun he’s having off leash, he often comes right back to you, looking for head rubs.  Kodiak is ready to go into a Shepherd-loving (and cat-free) home that can give him all the attention he craves and the guidance all good dogs need.
